A Community Meeting to unveil plans and drawings for the next phase of the Steelworks Museum will be held Thursday, July 29th from 6 to 7:30pm in the Bessemer Community Room at the museum. Please go to the Calender for more information.

Welcome to the Steelworks Museum & CF&I Archives!!

The Steelworks Museum of Industry and Culture and the Colorado Fuel and Iron (CF&I) Archive is located in Pueblo, Colorado.

For 121 years CF&I was the driving force behind the development of Pueblo, Colorado, and the shaping of the entire American West. Explore here the history of steel making, mining the natural resources for steel, heavy industry in the West, and the many lives touched by the largest steel mill west of the Mississippi River.

MUSEUM HOURS: 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Monday - Saturday (Closed New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day,  Thanksgiving and Christmas.)

ADMISSION: $5 per adult, $3 per child ages 4-12 (Group discounts for advance reservations.)

ARCHIVE HOURS: 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Monday - Friday - BY APPOINTMENT ONLY.

Mine Rescue Car
The beautiful, unique CF&I Mine Rescue Car No. 1 graces the grounds of the
Steelworks Museum along Interstate 25.
This car is believed to be the oldest existing wooden body mine rescue car in North America.
Tours of the car are included with your general admission to the museum.
