Christina Trujillo is the Executive Director of the Steelworks Center of the West, where she leads the organization’s strategic vision, operations, and community engagement efforts. Since 2019, she has guided the museum and archives in preserving and sharing the rich industrial and cultural history of Pueblo, while strengthening its role as a vital community resource.

With a strong background in nonprofit leadership, Christina brings a results-driven approach to organizational growth, financial stewardship, and program development. She works closely with the Board of Directors and staff to ensure long-term sustainability, expand community partnerships, and deliver meaningful educational and cultural experiences.

Prior to her role at Steelworks, Christina served as Executive Director of the Pueblo Hispanic Education Foundation, where she improved operational efficiency, strengthened fundraising efforts, and built partnerships to expand access to post-secondary education opportunities. Her earlier experience includes serving as Program Director at Posada, where she managed large-scale programs, oversaw a multimillion-dollar budget, and led extensive volunteer and donor engagement initiatives.

Christina’s professional foundation also includes human resources leadership with Walmart and early service in the United States Marine Corps, where she developed strong organizational, administrative, and leadership skills.
She holds a Bachelor of Letters, Arts and Sciences in Applied Communication with a minor in Leadership Studies from the University of Colorado Colorado Springs.

Christina is deeply committed to serving the Pueblo community and advancing initiatives that honor its history while creating opportunities for future generations.
