COLLECTIONS
The CF&I Steel Corporation Records contain approximately 6,000 cubic feet of manuscript materials related to the life cycle of the Pueblo, Colorado steel mill, more than 60 CF&I mines, and other related CF&I business operations. Also included are approximately 150 motion picture films, 100,000 photographs, over 30,000 maps and drawings, company publications, and thousands of ledgers. The archival collection spans CF&I’s 121 year history (1872 to 1993), illustrating every aspect of the company’s operations.
Much of the core CF&I collection is processed only at a basic box level. More detailed processing has progressed on specific record groups, including Industrial Relations, Mines and Quarries, and Administration. We are currently processing additional portions of the collection.
